Description
The Octave Steel Tongue Drum is a high-quality stainless steel instrument that is perfect for any musician and comes in two different scale/color combinations: the D Kurd in Black and the D Amara in Navy Blue. Both scales have a beautiful floral design on the face of the instrument.
The Octave Steel Tongue Drum has a central bass note in the middle, plus eight more notes around it, each of which consist of two tongues that play in each note in a higher and lower octave. This creates a beautiful, meditative sound similar to a handpan. At the bottom of the drum, you will find the sound hole, which can be closed with a silicone plug to make the sound even more compact. There are also three silicone feet at the bottom to keep the drum from slipping. You can play the Octave steel tongue drum with mallets or fingers. Just place it on a plain surface or on your lap to start playing. The drum includes two wooden mallets with rubber heads, a nice carrying bag with a zipper and handles, and a pre-installed rope braid around the rim.
