Description
The charango is a small Andean stringed instrument, from the Quechua and Aymara populations in the territory of the Altiplano in post-Colonial times, after European stringed instruments were introduced by the Spanish. The instrument is widespread throughout the Andean regions of Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, northern Chile and northwestern Argentina, where it is a popular musical instrument that exists in many variant forms.
The charangos that we sell here are hand picked by our representative at La Rosa Flutes, who ensures that each charango is well made and sounds great. These particular charangos are made in Bolivia.
Note: there are variations in each instrument as these are handmade instruments, each with its own unique flavor.
This item includes a carrying case (colors may vary from what is shown in photos) and an extra set of strings.
