Over the past two and a half years I have had the privelege of being a part of an exciting shamanic sound ensemble called Dream Seed. Formed by a number of students of Maestro Manuel Rufino, Dream Seed guides listeners on a sound journey like no other. Featuring healing music and instruments from around the world, each member has a special sound he or she brings to the group.

Here’s a track from Dream Seed’s demo recording sessions entitled, “Spiral”, featuring Brooke Hamre Gillespie on vocals and crystal singing bowls and AJ Block on Didgeridoo:

Working with sacred sound has been a great blessing in my life. I write this on the third day of our 12 day Northeast U.S. tour (March 23-April 3), which has already proven to be a success as we meet new people and are touched by the hospitality offered to us as we undergo this spiritual mission.

As you see in the first video, Dream Seed incorporates instruments such as didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, chicapas (percussive leaves), harmonium, metal chimes and tuning forks, drums, handpans, charangos, guitars, flutes and a myriad of other instruments from around the world. Singing is a huge part of what we do in this group and the songs we sing come from sacred traditions around the world.

It means so much to me to be part of such an incredible team of people. Everyday with this group we learn more about the sacred path and what it means to work as a team and in community.
