Description
The Heaven & Earth Flute is a double-ended bamboo drone flute that is played with the mouthpiece in the center of the instrument. The drone comes out the upper half while the melody notes come out the lower half. This flute was invented by Omar La Rosa of La Rosa Flutes.
The tuning of the Heaven & Earth Flute comes in either D, D#, E, or F. Drones in the lower and higher octave of each key are possible on this instrument.
The notes are played from low to high by first covering all the finger holes, then lifting one finger at a time starting with the hole closest to the end of the flute and moving up toward the center of the flute.

This is not a normal flute. This flute is a master crafted instrument that, I believe, has healing properties. In other words, I believe that this is a sacred healing instrument. The tones of this flute are very complex and just playing this flute puts me into a peaceful mode of rest and repair. I am thoroughly impressed. It feels very sacred to me and I feel like the spirit of this flute is a healing spirit. You will not be disappointed. In fact, once you connect with this flute you will feel like it is a part of you, especially if you are a healer. I am a sound and Reiki practitioner as well as a shamanic Reiki drummer and I am now including this flute as part of my healing practice.
