Description
Now available through Didge Project: the Drone Flute by La Rosa Flutes!
A drone flute; also called a “double” or “dual” flute, is basically two flutes that are connected. The idea is that one side plays like a normal flute while the other side harmonizes with a single “drone” note. These flutes are top-quality instruments that are lightweight and play fantastically.
La Rosa Flutes was founded by Tito La Rosa, the renowned sonic alchemist from Perú who makes traditional Andean instruments. This flute is lightweight and has an incredible tone and sound. We highly recommend this flute, especially if you are just learning how to play.
Materials: Woods vary from instrument to instrument. Mouthpieces are made from nogal (peruvian walnut) and bone. Cover pieces are made from bamboo. Cover piece straps are leather.
